ROTH BART BARON is a folk rock band based in Tokyo, Japan. The band started in 2009 first as a New Order cover band when MIFUNE Masaya (Vo/Ag) and NAKAHARA Tetsuya (Dr) were in college. ROTH BART BATON’s music is influenced by various artists of different genres, modern rock acts and folk music in particular. Artists such as the neutral milk hotel, Bon Iver, Wilco, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and Neil Young are essential in building up their own styles. Their debut album, “The Ice Age” (2014) was recorded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The vinyl was selected among best albums of the year by a number of music media, and their powerful stage performance is also highly praised by fans and critiques.

The band performed on large rock festivals including SUMMER SONIC and FUJI ROCK during 2015 and 2016, leaving a strong impact on the crowd. In summer 2015, ROTH BART BARON recorded the Sci-fi inspired second album ATOM in Montreal. The album was out in October the same year. They did “The Ice Age US-Tour 2014”,”ATOM TOUR 2016”. On December 20th, 2016, They held “BEAR NIGHT” at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM and performed in 9, with great musician; violin, trumpet, 2-trombone, bass guitar, keyboard, vibraphone.
